Body Logic Chiropractic is committed to safeguarding the privacy of your personal data. Data collection is completed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018) and the General Chiropractic Council Code of Practice.
What data do we collect?
We collect personal information including name, contact details, medical history. Patients must consent to full disclosure of medical history and current symptoms in order for the chiropractor to treat them safely. The contact between patient and practitioner is agreed on your request for treatment and the practitioner to provide care.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide data when you book online or contact us to request treatment. Data is also collected and processed when you voluntarily complete any forms provided via email and when you use and view our website via your browser cookies (see cookie policy for details).
How do we use your data?
Your data is collected in order for the chiropractor to make safe and informed decisions in order to provide the best possible care.
Body Logic Chiropractic also has a legitimate interest in being able to contact you via email, SMS and telephone to confirm appointments, send appointment reminders and update you on matters related to your care or clinic information that might affect you.
We will never share your data with anyone who doesn’t need access without your written consent.
How do we store your data?
Body Logic Chiropractic securely stores your data via our online system Janeapp. Jane app stores its data in secure data centres and has no access to patient data unless instructed of the subscriber (Body Logic Chiropractic)

Amending/updating personal information
A patient may request that Body Logic Chiropractic makes changes to their information as it is stored on Janeapp, patients may also change their details online via Janeapp. If you believe the information that we hold about you to be inaccurate, you can ask us to correct or remove it (subject to legal requirement) by emailing us at info@bodylogicchiropractic.co.uk.
In order to help keep your records accurate and up to date it is essential that you inform us of any changes as they occur, it is your responsibility to do this.
Your right to access and control your personal data
You have the right to request Body Logic Chiropractic for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
We have a legal obligation under The Chiropractors Act 1994 to retain your records for eight years after your most recent appointment (or age 25yrs if this is longer). After this period you can ask us to delete your records if you wish.
Marketing
We may occasionally send you information via email regarding services of ours we think you may like. You have the option to opt in or out of these emails at anytime.
Financial Transactions
A record of receipts and payments for services supplied is maintained via our Janeapp and Sumup software.
Merchant copies of each transaction are retained for accounting purposes, full details are obscured.

The Body Logic Chiropractic website may contain links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should also read their privacy policy.
